Read THIS blog post by a teacher. I mean actually read it. Take it in. Think about it. And then, write about it. What do you think about it? What is the teacher trying to say? In your own words explain what "the main event" is.

I think that the teacher who wrote the blog post is right about kids being quitters because they don't want to do the hard work. Those kids may play sports and they could work hundreds more times than they do at school. Why? It's because they like that sport and they actually want to do it everyday to get better at their sport, but when you ask them about school, they just blow it off like its no big deal. In life and in college and when you don't have good grades you won't be able to play until you do get it up. Whats more better playing that sport with good grades or sitting on the sidelines with bad grades? The teacher is trying to say that he isn't going to let you quit, and he will never give up on you even though you may throw fits. He saying that school isn't about the grades, its more about the learning than the grades. The main event to me is not grades, but how well your learning in a certain subject. If your struggling in that subject go get help, that's what teachers are here for able school and during study halls is because they care for your learning.

Explain how Stop motion is going to work.

Our stop motion is gonna contain fighting scenes we should have either two or three rounds of fighting/battles. It is me, Adam, and Ian doing this stop motion film. What is it about is that two people will fight over something. Then we plan on using the force to spice things up a little. We plan on being finished today in class, but that may be a long shot.

1. What was your stop motion animation about? Why did you choose your video to be about this? Was it because it was easy, because it would be fun, or it would be challenging? Explain your reasoning behind your project (and be honest).   My stop Motion was about a Star Wars fight with different characters from the series. I choose this because it would be cool seeing how it would be once it finished was a great thing to see. It was kinda challenging due to the fact that I had to take all of the photos and set everything up to make it look good. My reasoning for this film was to be different from most stop motion films that are out there did come into here in the classroom so I thought it would be different to think outside of the box. 
2. If you could rate your stop motion on a 1-10 scale. 1 being low effort and no very good and 10 being out of this world/mindblowing, how would you rate your project? Explain why. Either a 8 or a 9 because I did have some mess ups by having blurry photos or just having my arms or legs in the shot when I'm taking the pictures. But overall I do fell really good about the project overall. 
3. In hindsight, what would you do differently the second time around? Better lighting? Time management? Explain yourself. What I would have done better would be time management because of the fact that I had two baseball games that week and practice on Monday was really hard for me to get it in on Friday, If I had more time to do it, there probably wouldn't be much of an issue with the project. Also I would have picked something for easier to do because it was alot of work to do it over the weekend due to the fact that project was pretty hard in my books. 
4. Explain what makes your stop motion animation unique. How do you believe you thought "outside of the box" on this project?  What makes mine unique is that I did a Star Wars fight, and when you think of stop motion no one really thinks of Star Wars more of a fight scene with actual people not toys. I did think outside the box because when I was seeing different stop motion films most of them were about common films that other people do, but in a different style or way. Mine is really unique and I'm proud of it. 
5. What grade do you feel you deserve on this project? Explain your reasoning. I believe I deserve either a high B or a low A because of  some of my photos were either blurry or had a limb in the way of the figures. But I feel really good about what I did when I didn't make any mistakes.

3 day weekend... how was it? Give me a good story or something funny that happened this weekend. Go.

My weekend was great depending on perspectives, but most of the time I was playing MLB The Show 14 because I don't have the new one yet.. On Monday I found out that my opponents for baseball during the high school season was kicked out of Legacy Park in Lee Summit for some reason. I thought that was funny because now we have to travel even farther to get where we are playing now. But overall my weekend was really good.

Tell me ALL about what your idea is for your stop-motion animation. I need detail. Who is going to help you take photos? What props do you need? Where do you plan on shooting? EXPLAIN everything.

I'm gonna use a couple of people, to help me shoot photo's I have a couple of ideas that I could use to help me complete this project. 1. Draw lines that make up the words Emerging Tech. 2. Star Wars fight 3. Food Fight
Depending on what idea I use I would need Paper, and colored pencils for the first one. For the second I would need alot of Lego Star War characters just to even consider it, which I should have alot. 3. Food Fight, If I did decide to do this, I would need alot of food, which I like food anyways. I plan on shooting this at my house, but I could use some scenes here at school to have a light-saber fight or just have a different scene so people don't see that same background for three-hundred photos. If the Lego's fall through, I will try with the line game, by drawing out some lines and make out the words Emerging Tech. If option 1 was picked I would take pictures here at school. Option 3. Would be at home, but that is a last resort if both options fail.

Tell me all about your weekend and please share photos!

On Friday I didn't do much of anything, because it is a Friday, but what I did was I played Video games, but it was season related. Kentucky lost so I was happy about that. The Royals home Opener was two days from Friday and I was pumped up for it. On Saturday I worked with a really good baseball coach for about two hours with my teammates. then on Sunday it was Easter, and I really didn't do anything that day either except play monopoly with my grandma and with other people.

What do you love most about this time of year? Explain why you love it.

The reason I love this time of year, is because the end of the school year is close to ending and starting my third year of High School. Also, I know that baseball is here or its right around the corner. Spring is where I enjoy most of the year  the nice weather, and finally getting outside after a cold harsh winter makes it wonderful.

No, but we were able to find some good pictures of us and some items we took pictures of. The fun pictures we took was the tigers logo, an eye ball, and other stuff. We did all of our pictures here at school on Friday.

What do you know about photography and/or photo editing? Do you take photos? How do you take photos? Do you edit photos before posting them on social media? How do you edit them? Explain any background or knowledge you have about photography and photo editing. Do you like it? Do you have any interest?

What I know is that for photography you take pictures of something, and for photo editing you edit a photo that you took to make it look better for people to see. Yes I do take photo's but not the often anymore because of my hectic schedule. How do I take photos, it depends on the angle and how the sun is on that day, but usually I just role with what I got. I never edit photos, useless the sun is glaring into the lenses or the person has red eyes for some reason, but that's the only reason I would edit a picture. How do I edit them is up to how the picture turned out, I go into Photoshop or something that will edit pictures and make it the way it was supposed to turn out like. I don't make it better that it originally was before. The background information I have on photography is there is many possible angles to take a picture at.

Welcome back! Go ahead. Tell me all about your Spring Break. Include photos!

Over spring break, I went to Disney World. During the seven days I was there.(including landing and taking off) We went to all four parks, and a spring training game. The first day we went to the Magic Kingdom, and rode most of the rides there, Space Mountain was my favorite. The second day we went to the Animal Kingdom, and rode animal rides, that included actual animals on your ride. The third day we went to Hollywood Studios, which has all the action packed movies and rides you could have there including Star Tours. On the Fourth day we went to Epcot, which included multiple rides that has the excitement of a whole day. During these days I went to a baseball games, and filled out a bracket for the NCAA tournament.

What are you doing for Spring Break?

Well for spring break, I am going on a vacation to Disney World, Watching some baseball down there and Playing NCAA bracket Challenge. In Disney World you can go everywhere in the park you want, its pretty fun. Since I'm into collecting any sports memorabilia, I looked up some things about baseballs at Disney World and they have these cool looking baseballs at the end of Star Tours. So I'm going to have a fun vacation, and Hope you have one too.

Well, I really didn't do much this weekend, because we didn't have enough players to play, but I could play with four people, because I'm a god. But I did have a friend over on Friday. On Saturday and Sunday all I really did was go outside, because the weather was so great.

If you were the Principal for a week at BVHS, what would that look like? What changes would you make? Why?

If I were the principal at BVHS I really wouldn't change really anything except what is served for lunch that week. The spirit and the coming together of the BVHS community is so great that you can't change it at all. Why would I change the lunches? To mix things up, because some people i know are tired of eating pizza everyday, so I would bring in a new restaurant in everyday so people would have something new to eat everyday.

Tell me about your weekend.
Well this weekend for me, I didn't do anything that you would want to know about. I did have a basketball game though. During the basketball game I had twelve points in the first half. Draining three's from left to right, but our point guard could't inbound the ball so we lost. But it was a good effort losing by 2 to the best team in the league.

During my weekend I just did what a normal kid would do, play video games all weekend with a rec basketball game in there. So during the basketball game I always have right ankle issues. So I ended up stealing the ball from some kid, and right then my juked myself out and broke my ankles. So that's how that game went...

The perfect classes that I wold think is a set perfect for me is science classes, because I always been loving the outdoors and knowing how the weather works. The titles of theses courses would probably be: Meteorology, AP Environmental Science,  Pre-Calc, Astronomy, Computer Technologies, Chemistry, and Calc. I would spend my time in the classes studying how the outdoors would impact us and for calc and pre-calc just doing math for the road ahead. these are all not that different from the classes I have now because of the way I set it up for next year.

Tell me what you believe this cartoon is trying to say. Do you agree or disagree with this idea? Try and look at this from two different perspectives. What is your perspective? What would be an adult/teacher's perspective?

This cartoon is trying to say that China and India are smart in what they do, while America just plays on their phones and listen to music in class when the teacher is speaking. I disagree with this idea, because we record all of our test scores and we have the possibly of retaking the test at a later date. My prospective at this is that the Americans do learn alot in a school day, its just those certain people that don't learn with us. Teachers perspective would probably agree with this because all they see is phones out in their class or listening to music. It all depends on what people see and think.

Think about the quote above. What does this mean to you? How could this apply to your life? How could this apply to your school work? I would love to give you less work in class if it meant you were going to focus harder on the work. Do you think you would get more out of it? Would that work for you? Why or why not?

What this means to me is that you do less to get more focused, the less time you mess around in class means that you will be more focused on the class your in. How I could apply this to my life is that since I play sports, and people like to have fun, I could be a leader and show them how to behave before, during and after practice. Before and after practice is the time to mess around, but during practice needs to be limited. I can apply this to my school work, because this is alot of distractions around the house I do get my school work done, just don't try to make it longer than it needs to be by messing around for a long time. If you gave us less time to work all you'd get was sloppy projects, because of the shortened time, if you gave us more  time the more quality the projects are and the more A's you will be happy with. The shortened time is not will not help us if we got the shortened time each project, it could drag my grade down and everyone else's grade will fall as well.

Tell me all about your weekend! I sure hope you have photos to share.
Well my weekend consisted of video games, baseball and rec basketball. On Friday I play video games for ten hours and that's all I did. On Saturday I had two baseball lessons and more video games. On Sunday I had a rec basketball game and since we were down a man I had to play all forty minutes of the game. It was torture for me. We ended up losing the game, but it was fun for me and the team. I scored 13 points while adding 5 steals 7 rebounds and 2 assists. A bonus I scored over half of our teams points.

Tell me about some interesting things you have learned about your global issue so far. What have you learned that you didn't know before? Include a couple images from the internet if possible. (Make sure to cite images that are not your own.) 

The most interesting thing I have learned about my Global issue is that the Ozone layer that is covering the area had a huge hole in it, but now it is starting to heal according to scientists that were studying the area. That could be a factor that caused this mess in the first place.

I didn't go to sweetheart, I had alot of fun over the weekend, because I went to Royals Fan Fest on Friday and Saturday. It was a bust on Friday because my knees and back and ankles are messed up that if I stand in a line for to long without moving then they will start to hurt. Since Friday didn't work I just brought a Billy Butler signed picture. On Saturday I waited for only a hour and a half for a autographed ball from Christian  Colon.

What is email? When do you use email in your own personal life? List reasons and ways that people use email. What do you know about "email etiquette"? EXPLAIN.

Email is a fast way to send a message to other people for personal use. Email can be used for specials, promotions or just sending things that people want fast. When I use my email its for either signing up for gaming websites, fantasy football, and march madness bracket challenge. The reasons people use email is to send pictures or get promotions on what is going on with their favorite things or spirit wear is in from someone's business that you ordered. Ways that people use email is that they can either check their email on their phone, laptop or a main computer. I don't know much about email etiquette, but if I were to guess it's about being nice to someone online and don't send mean things to someone or people that could destroy someones life because of what you send. Email can be another one of those things were people don't have the courtesy to respect others when they send emails to other people about that one person they really don't care for that person all they want is revenge or just to hurt that one person who didn't deserve to be hurt in that kind of way.

Ten years from now I will be 26 years old and playing baseball for the Kansas City Royals Baseball Club I hope its in the Major Leagues.

I always hoped that one day I will play in the Major Leagues because baseball is what I'm passionate about even at a young age. The one thing that I do have a advantage on is the hard work and the right people around me.

Yesterday I had you choose a global issue and you wrote about it on your blog. Today on your blog I want you to tell me about two different perspectives of your global issue. Are there people for an against your issue? Do people disagree on your issue? Is it a topic that can cause controversy? Look at the issue for two different perspectives. Tell me about those perspectives.


Two different perspectives on Antarctica is a good side, and a side who doesn't care. The good side is the scientists that are doing research to discover why the Pole is melting and how we can stop the Ice Caps from melting and saving the Polar Bears from extinction in about seventy-five years. The other side who don't care is the people who don't care about any global issue they just want to carry out their lives without hearing about this useless information, but it isn't useless its actually trying to save the earth for generations to come.

There are people that agree with my global issue topic, because there are people who care for the environment and do care to what happens to each animal on the planet if its fish, polar bears, bald eagles etc. Then there is another side where they will poach the animals for something that is valued as something on the black market that is illegal to do like hunting elephants for its tusks.

This topic will cause controversy later on when the ice caps really begin to fall apart, right now we are doing research to look at what is going on with the poles.

Antarctica: Climate Change

1. The background on the topic that is the title of the blog post is that the Ice Caps in Antarctica are melting due to climate change and global warming which could or will affect the polar bears living in that region of the earth.

2. I want to know about this issue is how can we stop Antarctica from melting and how can we save the polar bears without disturbing any more of their melting land. Also I want to know why is it melting? Is it from Global Warming or just climate change? Or a Hole in the Ozone layer? Who Knows? 

3. I choose this issue because people need to realize that global warming is killing animals like the polar bears and melting the ice which could over run low sea level areas like Florida and the coast of  Louisiana. Its something I'm passionate about because of what animals mean to me because I love animals no matter what kind or how they look (Except snakes and spiders) If I can inform people on what kind of consequences could happen if we continued to act the way we act or increase what we are doing so badly at then this earth could be or will be different, but it only happens with your help.

Last week I asked your to "think differently" and push yourself to be uncommon with your PSA project using Google Slides. Why do you think I asked you to do that? What is the point? Why not just use bullets and headers? Explain.

The reason you asked us to do that is because you already know that we can bullet and list things because we did it in our Who Am I Project earlier in the semester. The point for it is so we can explore Google Slides and use it for many different purposes than just listing things in a power point.  If we used bullets and headers for everything what kind of presentation would that be? A sleeping one for sure.

Kids these days are flying around on their hover-board thingy's, they are just a mess crashing into everything around them and everyone. The police has to come into my neighborhood like fifty times a day just because of kids speeding down the road on their hover craft. Every time I go out for a little walk I almost get run over by some whipper snapper that is ten years old thinking that hes MJ from the 1980's and 90's and running into things or trying to hover in the air for one second and crash right into a house or into a pile of something. Kids these days need to have something on them to keep them from going into things or someone.

What is a public service announcement (PSA)? What do PSA's do? What makes a good PSA? How can you get someone to take action after watching a PSA?  What is you PSA idea? Explain in detail.

A PSA is a public service announcement where someone chooses a topic about something wrong in our world like smoking, texting and driving, drinking and driving and much more. Once a topic is chosen then they will make a 5 slide animation without clicking so it can be a actual video. PSA's need some kind of emotion to where people are willing to take action with you and help out anyone who does this. My PSA idea is the Seat Belt Law. Not many people who don't wear seat belts will not survive car crash's because they are ejected from their vehicle.

Tell me all about your 3 day weekend. Share photos!

On Saturday I didnt do much except for playing video games all day to reach the playoffs with the magic -_- which did happen. On Sunday was my birthday so I had to go to pitching practice then once i got home we had my family over so we could talk for maybe one hour or so because of my rec basketball game at 4:30pm. Then on Monday all I did was play more video games and was locked in a battle with the Hawks in a 3-3 tie. And then I was able to go to the KU game at Allen FeildHouse

What are your thoughts on this class so far? Easy? Hard? Informative? Frustrating? What have you learned so far? What do you want to learn? Explain yourself.

When I came in on the first day of class it looked like it would be a easy class, and it still is as of today, but when we get more in depth to our stuff it might get a little bit difficult to do certain things with our projects, but if you just listen in class then this might be the easiest class you will ever take in your school career except in the pre-school or the elementary school level.

All I really did over the weekend was play video games for about half of the time, but when I did play video games it was NBA 2k15 on the PS3, with my friends that play the game. On Sunday I was with my grandma for most of the day Sunday just to help her with things around the house and to cheer her up a little.

Most teenagers do have to do the dirty chores in the house, but its preparing them for what lies ahead in the future and what to expect when they are a adult in the real world. I agree with the statements because of the way they were said, but I supported teens to go home and do those things that no one wants to do, because they don't have the time or they are stressed out because of other reasons.
